- Locally grounded — oddities in your own community, from a misplaced statue to a rare bird sighting.
- Visually rich — strange shapes, mysterious marks, curious creatures, weird weather. Send the picture.
- Patient in nature — slow news that earns a long read rather than a quick headline.
We pass on tips that are…
- Unverified rumors about named private individuals or medical claims without sources.
- Generic PR pitches, advertising copy, or content marketing disguised as a story.
- Conspiracy framings or claims that ask us to debunk a hoax you haven't researched.
- Copyrighted media you don't own or have permission to share.
- Crisis events where local emergency services or official outlets are the right audience first.

We email you back — even if it's a polite "thanks, but not this time." No tips disappear into silence.

We fact-check sources, cross-reference claims, and request follow-up media only if you have more to share.
