Want to Buy some Used Underwear

Ummm, yuk!  It appears times are tough for the mom made famous by her octuplet children. Nadya Suleman, dubbed Octomom by many, is holding a yard sale to try and avoid foreclosure on her house.

But just like Octomom, the sale is nothing ordinary. Hosted by comedian Tattoo, the sale will also be hosted live on eBay and streamed over the Internet on UStream.tv.

Through the combined formats, with a play-by-play from Tattoo, bidders will buy old nursery bras (autographed by Octomom herself), autographed pregnant panties along with toys and other trinkets.

“Nadya is a personal friend and wonderful Mom,” Tattoo said. “We are only trying to help her 14 children. What better way to do that than with a Yard Sale!”

Other items for sale include the sofa that she was sitting on when she found out she was pregnant with octuplets and hand prints of the children.

Boob Squeezer Arrested

I guess what she was doing was pretty bad but how drunk were the women in the bars that let her give them breast exams?

An Idaho judge has set bond at $100,000 for a Boise woman police say posed as a physician and duped at least two other women into having their breasts examined by her at Boise-area nightclubs.

Kristina Ross, 37, remains in Ada County Jail in Boise on two felony counts of practicing medicine without a license.

Police say Ross introduced herself to victims — one at a downtown Boise bar and the other at a nightclub in a Boise suburb — as a plastic surgeon named Berlyn Aussieahshowna, a name that turned out to be bogus.

The two women told Boise officers they believed Ross was a physician because of her apparent medical knowledge, and they agreed to undergo what they thought were breast exams, which happened at the bars.

As part of her ruse, Ross gave the women the telephone number of a real licensed plastic surgeon in Boise, the state capital, authorities said.

Staff at that medical office became alarmed at the number of calls they received from women in recent weeks attempting to confirm appointments or surgeries with a Berlyn Aussieahshowna, according to charging documents.

Medical workers on Tuesday alerted Boise police about the pattern, and they later arrested Ross.

The suspect’s gender is unclear. Idaho court records show that Ross was arrested for petty theft in the spring and that the arrest warrant was issued to a Kristoffer Jon Ross.

The Idaho Statesman website reported that Ross has a previous criminal record as a man but identifies herself as a woman and was booked into Ada County Jail as a female.

Cosmetic surgical procedures Ross discussed with victims after she touched their breasts under the guise of a medical evaluation included breast augmentation and liposuction.

The court on Wednesday found Ross was eligible for a public defender and set a preliminary hearing on the two felony charges for Dec. 1. If convicted, Ross could face a maximum of five years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 for each count.

Get that Knife out of my Head

I find this really hard to believe, is this guy stupid or what? A 29-year-old tire repairman from northeastern Brazil is recovering after doctors removed a 10-centimetre blade that has been stuck in the front of his head for three years after a bar fight.

Edeilson Nascimento told the local Terra news agency that doctors previously told him not to take the knife out because it could cause further damage including lesions in the brain stem which could result in death. “In three years I felt bad headaches every day of my life from the time I woke up until bedtime,” he told Terra news. “So I stopped working.”

A team of seven people, including three neurosurgeons, from the hospital at the Federal University of Pernambuco removed the knife without causing further harm over the course of a three-hour surgery on Tuesday. Nascimento is expected to be released from Recife hospital next week.

Help they Stole my House

Rare Ripped Stamp Brings in a Fortune

Half a rare German postage stamp which dates back to 1872 has fetched some 261,000 euros ($347,500) at auction in the southern German town of Bietigheim-Bissingen, a spokeswoman for the auction house told Reuters on Thursday. She said a German collector purchased the well-preserved half stamp, which originates from the northern German town of Syke, despite its hefty price tag because it was so rare.

“Stamps were in short supply in Syke between 1872 and 1874 so it was decided that they should be cut in half as a makeshift solution,” she said. “But because this was only done for a short period, very few letters actually bear these halved stamps.”

She said the winning bidder from north Germany was able to secure the stamp, which had an asking price of 120,000 euros, only after a lengthy duel with a bidder from south Germany.

The stamp was particularly valuable because it was featured as the cover picture on a book written about Syke’s collection of halved stamps by Rolf Rohlfs in 1982.  I guess I have to keep a better eye out at garage sales!

Win a Prize for Bad Sex

An Irish author has been awarded the Bad Sex in Fiction prize.

Rowan Somerville won for his novel, The Shape of Her.

“Like a lepidopterist mounting a tough-skinned insect with a too blunt pin he screwed himself into her,” was one of the passages in the book that helped Somerville win the award Monday night.

He beat out Canadian Annabel Lyon. The B.C. author was nominated for her book, The Golden Mean. On her blog, Lyon said she was “deeply honoured” by the nomination.

In accepting his award, Somerville said he was glad to join the likes of Tom Wolfe, A.A. Gill and last year’s winner, Jonathan Littell.

“There is nothing more English than bad sex, so on behalf of the entire nation I would like to thank you,” he told the crowd in London, Bloomberg reported.

British journal Literary Review has been handing out the prize since 1993.  I would like to see a list of past winners so I can avoid their books!!

Utah Lottery Winners Lose 8 Million Dollar Ticket

A family holding an Idaho Lottery ticket worth $8 million wasn’t taking any chances while traveling from their home in Brigham City, Utah,to claim their lottery winnings in Boise.  But as fate would have it, things didn’t go quite as planned.

Sisters Cindy Flintt and Carol Olven, along with their mother Donna Flintt, made the nearly 300-mile trip to Idaho with their ticket locked in a fireproof safe.  But when they got to the lottery office they realized the safe had fallen through the back floor of their rusty old 1982 Datsun

Cindy Flintt says, “We were pretty broke, none of us have worked in more than 2 years”.  “We took our last $74 and bought a fire proof safe from the local WalMart and loaded it into the back seat with the lottery ticket locked inside.”

When they got to the lottery office on Monday they were shocked to see the safe gone and a huge gaping hole in the rear floor of the car!  Mom Donna Flintt said, “We just hugged each other and cried for almost an hour.”

Lottery spokesman David Workman says other winners have taken precautions, but the Flint family may be the first to have lost out on their multi-million dollar prize because of over-protecting it. “Apparently there was a car mat covering the substantial hole and they had no idea.”  “I feel terrible for them, but there is nothing we can do about it.”

The women bought their ticket at a store in Franklin, Idaho, near the state border with Utah.  But apparently the ticket is unsigned so whomever finds this treasure (and gets the safe open) will have full claim to the $8 million dollar grand prize.

Crazy Guy Mails Out Spiders

A German man who allegedly shipped hundreds of live tarantulas into the United States through the mail was charged Friday with illegally importing wildlife. I want to know about the crazy people that order these freak’in things.
Sven Koppler, a 37-year-old German national, was arrested by federal agents late Thursday, shortly after arriving in Los Angeles to meet an associate, U.S. Attorney’s spokesman Thom Mrozek said in a written statement.

Mrozek said the investigation into Koppler began in March, when a routine inspection turned up about 300 live tarantulas in a package mailed to Los Angeles.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service agents then intercepted two more packages, one containing nearly 250 live tarantulas, wrapped in colored plastic straws.

The second package was found to hold 22 Mexican red-kneed tarantulas, a species formally known as Brachypelma smithi that is protected under an international treaty.

Mrozek said Fish and Wildlife agents, conducting an investigation dubbed “Operation Spiderman” ordered more spiders from Koppler and were sent a total of five packages containing dozens of live and dead tarantulas.

According to the criminal complaint, agents believe Koppler has received about $300,000 for selling tarantulas to individuals in dozens of countries throughout the world.

Koppler, who prosecutors believe lives in Wachtberg, Germany, was scheduled to make his initial court appearance later on Friday and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.

While many people considered tarantulas threatening, their venom is weaker than a honeybee and other than a painful bite, is harmless to humans.

The Mexican red-kneed tarantula, which is native to Mexico, can grow to about 4 inches long, with a leg span of 6 inches, and has a dark body with orange patches on the legs, giving it the “red-kneed” appearance.

The spiders are considered docile and females can live for more than 20 years.

The Brachypelma genus of spider is protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species because it is considered threatened, and can only be legally traded with permits from the exporting country.

UK Does not Condone Pregnant Nuns

I can definitely see a problem here,  and claiming immaculate conception probably won’t work!!

Women Bites Off Husbands Tongue

All I can say is ouch!! A 57-year-old Wisconsin woman bit off half of her 79-year-old husband’s tongue during a kiss and has been arrested, authorities said Tuesday. The severed piece of tongue was recovered, and the man was taken to a hospital where doctors were trying to reattach it, Sheboygan, Wisconsin police said.

The woman was singing Christmas carols and blowing a New Year’s horn when police detained her after the incident on Monday.

The man said his wife had been acting strangely in recent days, the police in Sheboygan, north of Milwaukee, said.  Poor guy, this is one of my worst nightmares, having a body part bitten off during an intimate act!
